Mr. Black

Mr. Black, Professional School Counselor at Hoech Middle for 8th Grade

A wee little biographical word, or maybe a couple hundred words, more like, describing my epic journey in my exoskeleton, cytoplasm-based body suit. Rattlesnakes in 1994 were surrounding me in my arid environs; alas my fore’ into the field of Education landed me in a prickly, cactus-laden topographic vista, better known as Gila Bend, Arizona. Next, my passion to teach took me to a small town in the Ozark Mountains. Fast-forward a few years and I accepted a teaching spot at Pattonville High School in St. Louis, the city of record for the first Mr. Black spotting, minus my father who was drafted by the Army during the time the Vietnam War, circa 1970. 12 years ago I intercepted a digital bugle call and followed it’s signal to an alternative, yet related, career as a Professional School Counselor. Finally, here are some footnotes on my personal quest for eternal happiness. My wife teaches--we have 3 children (college age, high school, and middle school ages)—received Golf scholarship in College---family road trips are what we do!
